Drink, eat, share, like a mantra we like to chant, apply and take literally, or divert and reverse for the more rebellious. Drink, to begin with, local canons or selected from elsewhere, cocktails with well-known and comforting flavours or more surprising ones. Then there's the food, with its Mediterranean flavours dotted with tastes from travels around the world, generous, sun-drenched and colourful. Sharing the table or writing the menu, as Georgiana Viou does here at Gigi, giving carte blanche to her colleagues led by Luka Tao Debenath, head chef. A cuisine from the heart, like a declaration of love to this vast territory.
